My Story

From a young age I have been fascinated with nutrition and preventive health. I remember watching documentaries about processed and supersized food and reading books about nutrition as I was growing up. What I found truly inspiring about a well-balanced and wholesome diet is its power to prevent disease. I was amazed at the health transformations possible from beneficial lifestyle changes, allowing many individuals to enjoy a greater quality of life. A desire was born in my heart to equip others to achieve an improved state of health through what they eat each day, so I decided to work towards an undergraduate degree in nutrition.

I graduated from Andrews University in 2020 with a bachelor's in Nutrition Science and a minor in Chemistry. After taking some time to work in a variety of foodservice roles at Kettering Health, I went back to school to complete my dietetic internship with Andrews University at Kettering Health by Spring 2023.

My undergraduate education and dietetic internship have equipped me with both the theoretical knowledge and practical applications skills pertaining to clinical, foodservice, and community dietetics. I am driven to strive for excellence in providing nutrition care and am looking forward to my road ahead as a registered dietitian!
